Walk Along the Creek with Creekfinding

June 22, 2021 By Jacqueline Briggs Martin

The Iowa City Public Library has started a new Story Walk Program this year at Willow Creek Park. And they have chosen Creekfinding as the first book for the new story frames. You can walk along the creek, read the story and look at Claudia McGehee’s wonderful illustrations. Claudia and I had the fun of kicking off the Story Walk Program a couple of weeks ago. We read the book, talked a bit about the illustrations, and brought some paper fish–and some Rusty Patched Bumble Bees–for coloring.

The story will be up on the story boards for a few more weeks. Exercise your body and your mind with creekwalking and Creekfinding.
